The Tennessee Department of Tourism Development conducted their Arts and Economic Prosperity Study here in our city and the findings were delightful.

An average of $7.7 million is projected for the Columbia Arts scene to net annually. In addition to city income, approximately 213 full time jobs are expected to come from this art development, equating $3.7 million in household income.

Over the next couple of years, Columbia staff officials plan to supplement and expand the city’s tourism and arts scene in hopes of reinforcing Columbia’s identity. Just as writers across the south continue to visit and document our community, the residents are excited too for what amazing things are to come in the future!
